In order to accelerate the intelligent and digital transformation of the wire and cable industry, strengthen precise alignment between supply and demand, improve the intelligent manufacturing level of wire and cable enterprises in Jiangsu Province, and promote the high-quality development of the smart grid industry in Jiangsu Province, the " The " Intelligent Manufacturing Enters Industrial Parks, Promoting Development through Enterprise Services (Wire and Cable Industry)" event was held in Gaoyou, Yangzhou.
According to Shi Meishan, vice mayor of Gaoyou, Gaoyou wire and cable industry has been developing since the early 1980s and has developed into a traditional advantageous industry in the city. It is also one of the “3+3 characteristic industries” that the city prioritizes for development. There are 48 large-scale enterprises in the industry, achieving a sales figure of 10 billion CNY and contributing over 300 million US dollars in taxes in 2022. The Gaoyou wire and cable industry has a wide range of industries and applications, and has been applied to national and provincial key projects such as the Three Gorges Hub, aerospace, rail transit, and nuclear power industry, with obvious characteristics and high market share.
Ye Xuanchen, the executive secretary of the Jiangsu Branch of an intelligent manufacturing system solution provider, stated that in the process of investigating enterprises, it was found that the usage rate of ERP is very high. Through software integration, ERP brings together various aspects of the enterprise, including people, finance, materials, production, supply, sales, and corresponding logistics, information flow, resource flow, and management flow. This integration achieves resource optimization and sharing, reaching a rate of 88.9%. However, the usage rate of MES is only about 12%, and it has limited enabled functions. (MES is a production information management system oriented to the workshop execution level of manufacturing enterprises, which can effectively guide the production operation process of the factory.)
In a number of "intelligent transformation" enterprises, many have achieved remarkable transformation results. Among them, Jiangsu Zhongtian Internet Technology Co., Ltd. is deeply involved in the cable industry, and its transformation is relatively mature. During the meeting, Shen Haiyuan, deputy general manager of Zhongtian Internet Company, shared the 'intelligent transformation to digital conversion' solution for the wire and cable industry. Zhongtian Internet has found in practice that to expedite the realization of intelligent manufacturing upgrades, cable companies need to focus on dual-domain transformation, emphasizing enterprise digitization and sustainability. Leveraging the innovative advantages of logo analysis and the construction and operation of the 'dual-span' ASUN Industrial Internet platform is crucial in meeting these transformation needs."
Currently, Jiangsu is focusing on the transformation demands such as research and development design, production manufacturing, product sales, and market services. It is accelerating the construction of a provincial and municipal digital transformation resource pool for the intelligent upgrading. This involves aggregating superior resources from intelligent equipment service providers, network service providers, system solution service providers, and other advantageous entities. The goal is to provide integrated services for the digital transformation of traditional industries and accelerate the cultivation of a group of leading service providers that are deeply involved in the digital transformation of traditional industries.
The relevant person in charge of the Equipment Industry Department of Jiangsu Industry and Information Technology Department mentioned that since entering the "Fourteenth Five-Year Plan" period, the development of intelligent manufacturing in Jiangsu has entered a new stage from pilot demonstration to comprehensive implementation, from breakthroughs at specific points to widespread promotion, and from government guidance to enterprise initiative implementation. At this stage, the key is to improve the regional ecosystem for the development of intelligent manufacturing, promoting the effective integration of supply and market demand. The Jiangsu Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology will further promote the implementation of intelligent manufacturing projects, especially the intelligent transformation of traditional industries and small and medium-sized enterprises, accelerate the formation of a number of replicable and promotable application scenarios, cultivate a number of regional intelligent manufacturing service platforms, and further advance the depth and effectiveness of the“intelligent transformation”initiative.
